vFaith Mission The Mission and intent of www.vfaith.com is to provide an internet website that allows Churches to do a Good Deed for members of their congregation that are unable to attend Mass. If someone can not make it to church then bring the church to them. There are several real reasons that prevent congregants and family members from attending prayers, important occasions and other events at the church when they want to. Examples are: •· People that are Disabled •· Congregants that have become to sick to come •· The Elderly (our population is aging) •· Family members that can not travel to a Confirmation or Communion •· Someone who would otherwise attend but is out of town In these cases people from our local and extended community and family can access the Church's services by opening an internet browser on a computer and going to www.vfaith.com and selecting the Church and services they wish to participate in. How does it Work? There are a couple of ways to access your specific Place of Worship. When you go to www.vfaith.com you can enter the Church Name in the keyword search field and press the enter key as shown below: You will then see a list of Churches with that name and you can pick the exact one if there are multiple to choose from. If services are happening then you are hearing and seeing them. It is just that simple. Connecting vFaith directly to your website A button can be easily created on your Church's website that can take you directly to your listing making it even easier to attend Mass. This will only display information related to your Church. Another click will expand the image to full screen. In either case participation is just a couple of internet clicks away and you are there as shown below: Charity There are also three ways that you can help generate Charity for the Church. By accessing the Church in this way you can: 1. Create revenue because of the modest advertising that is displayed 2. Make a Donation via the Donation Function 3. Shopping in a mall that is customized to the Church These extra features either surround each webpage or can be found within the listing. Other Features The listing includes other useful features, such as a mapping function, to help you find the Church if you are from out of town. The Church address and phone number and a link to the Church's website are also available. The listing can optionally provide a schedule for live chat with your Priest. We will soon add a vertical social network, called vFaith Community, that provides an option for members to create dynamic web pages like myspace.com but within the religious community so that we and our children are not as exposed to everything that is on the web. The leader of a Parish will be able to use the vFaith Community feature to create dynamic multimedia communications with the members and extended community. This will include sharing videos, sermons, multiple types of messaging, chat, blogging and more. Priests and congregants will be able to share ideas, within your community, like never before. All this while not being hampered by inappropriate content that, as you know, is pervasive on the internet.
